Xanterra Kingsmill Resort, located in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, is a place steeped in honored traditions and genuine Southern hospitality. When the first English foot was placed in Virginia, it was here on these grounds that once served as a central part of the area’s plantation life in the 1600’s through 1800’s.
Kingsmill Resort is home to 3 championship caliber 18-hole courses whose fairways have hosted the greatest names in the history of golf! The College of William and Mary is the nation’s 2nd oldest university, founded in 1693. The College also educated 4 U.S. Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and John Tyler. About 1/2 of all the people in the United States live within a 500 mile radius of the Capital of Virginia, Richmond. Williamsburg’s Busch Gardens is a European-themed amusement park with 100 acres of entertainment and adventure. Among the park’s thrill rides is the Griffon, the world’s first floorless diving machine roller coaster.
Today, Kingsmill Resort retains those magnificent traits inherent in Kingsmill’s early life with grand accommodations, gracious hospitality and stately service. In 1969 Anheuser-Busch purchased 3,900 acres of James River land with plans to build a large brewery. As part of the land purchase agreement, Anheuser-Busch agreed to develop hundreds of those acres into what is now Kingsmill Resort. In 2010, Kingsmill Resort was purchased by Xanterra, who is the largest national and state park concessioner in the United States. They are committed to practicing integrity and quality, while leading in environmental stewardship and creating unforgettable memories for their guests. We are looking for fun and hardworking students to participate in our international program!
