Cool As A Moose® is the cool place to shop in Maine for apparel, gifts, souvenirs and sunglasses! Since 1986, we’ve treated our customers to the very best service and merchandise in a friendly, fun, and professional atmosphere. This is a fun place to work! We have several stores throughout the state of Maine. Come work for us and see why we were selected as the 2011 Maine Merchant of the year. The Bar Harbor store is located right in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor and is close to all the fun things to do that Bar Harbor has to offer.

Housing Information: The employer will assist you in finding housing and the average cost could be approximately $100 per week. Rooms generally accommodate 2 or 4 people, with a shared kitchen. Most of the housing options in Bar Harbor are within walking distance of Cool As A Moose. 
Arrival Information: You will need to arrive on Boston Airport. From there you can take a bus to Bangor, which is about 1 hour north of Bar Harbor. The bus stops in Portland, so if you are flying there you’ll just need to take a taxi from the airport to the bus station. Once you are in Bar Harbor there is a free bus that starts running in mid-June. This bus travels all over the island, including into Acadia National Park.

Location

Bar Harbor is the largest town on Mount Desert Island in Hancock County, Maine. Adjacent to Acadia National Park, home to 1,532-foot Mount Cadillac. Acadia’s stunning mountains, lakes and sea cliffs can be viewed from a number of vantage points including the park’s loop road, which is open to cars; the historic carriage roads, which are closed to car traffic; and 125 miles of trails, exclusively for hiking. The Bar Harbor area possesses a great selection of activities, including a nature camp, an oceanarium, a zoo and a lumberjack show. Bar Harbor continues to draw visitors by the thousands.
